75mm C-Mount Lens for up to 1/1.7" sensors

CIL579 is a 75mm C-mount lens for 1/1.7" to 1/1.8" sensors resolving 8-12MP at approximately 2µm pixel pitch. Sensors like the Sony IMX678 and IMX568 pair well here. The aperture adjusts from F/3.0 to F/20, and the working distance starts at 500mm, so you can tune depth of field from half a meter out to infinity.

This is a finite conjugate optimized design, not a generic infinity-first lens. That choice matters at close range because it gives you better corner sharpness at shorter working distances than the usual C-mount telephoto lens. Distortion is 0.05% across the 8.9mm image circle, which is low enough to skip software correction in most dimensional measurement setups. The 5.8° field of view is easy to model with the calculator.

The lens uses all-glass construction and weighs 138g. Commonlands ships the C-mount A variant as CIL579-F3.0-CMANIR without an IR cut filter, so you should plan on a sensor-side filter or a standalone optical filter if you need daylight color accuracy.

The lens is compatible with Commonlands CLA021 lens holders, e-con Systems 7mm mounts, D3 Engineering boards, Allied Vision, Basler Dart, and The Imaging Source cameras.
