2mm 190° Fisheye M12 Lens in a small form factor

CIL290 is a compact fisheye M12 lens with a 1.9mm effective focal length, a 190° field of view, and a 1/2.7" format. It projects a 5.8mm image circle and supports 3-5MP resolution with 2.2μm pixels. The F/2.2 aperture makes sense when you need extreme coverage but do not want to step up to a much larger lens body.

The distortion behavior is controlled for a fisheye this wide. The lens is specified at -9% F-Theta distortion at a 5.7mm image circle, so angular mapping stays more predictable than you would expect from a doorbell-style ultra-wide. That matters in surround view, compact robotics, and doorbell cameras where scene coverage matters more than keeping lines rectilinear.

The package is tiny. The lens weighs 2g, the total track length is about 12.3mm, and the hybrid glass/plastic construction helps it fit space-constrained board cameras. NIR correction also makes it useful in day/night systems that switch between visible and near-infrared illumination.

Two M12 variants are available. Both versions use BBAR on the first lens surface. The M12A and M12B let you choose plastic-barrel or aluminum-barrel packaging with IP67-rated sealing, so the optical performance stays the same while the mechanics match your enclosure and environmental requirements.
