CIL282 is a fisheye M12 lens with a 2.2mm effective focal length, 182° field of view, and a fast F/1.8 aperture. It supports 5MP resolution with 2.2μm pixels and produces a 6.3mm image circle. This is the part to use when you need broad sensor compatibility and strong low-light throughput in the same package.

Format flexibility is one of the practical strengths. The lens is specified for sensor sizes from 1/3" to 2/3", so you can reuse the same lens family across multiple camera platforms while the sensor choice is still moving. That helps a lot in programs that are not fully frozen yet.

The lens is specified at -8% F-Theta distortion. That gives you a sensible middle ground for a lens this wide, because the mapping stays predictable without pushing into the more extreme behavior of the wildest fisheyes. The all-glass, metal construction also gives you a better answer when thermal stability and long-term mechanical durability matter.

The total weight is 8g. Standard and IP67 mechanical versions are both available. With BBAR on the first lens surface and broad compatibility across common board camera ecosystems, the CIL282 is one of the easier ways to get very wide coverage and F/1.8 speed without overcomplicating the mechanical stack.
