2mm F/2.0 Wide-Angle Lens With 160° FoV

CIL822 is a compact 2mm F/2.0 M12 lens built for wide coverage in a small mechanical package. It delivers a 160° field of view with -4.0% F-θ distortion at a 6.4mm image circle, which is a useful balance when you want broad coverage without the stronger distortion profile of many fisheyes.

The lens is specified for 4-5MP imaging with 2.0µm pixels, and the product data points it toward 1/2.8" class sensors. A 20° chief ray angle at the 6.4mm image circle is also called out, which matters when you are checking sensor CRA tolerance and edge shading behavior.

CIL822 uses a 2G5P optical construction and weighs only 3g. The as-designed image circle is 6.2mm, and the short mechanical form is aimed at tight board-level layouts. Commonlands also lists a 15mm TTL, so it fits projects where stack height is a real constraint.

This lens makes sense for compact embedded vision, robotics, and occupancy-view cameras that need a lot of scene coverage from a small module. You get a fast F/2.0 aperture, low mass, and a wide field without stepping into an oversized housing.
