Automotive 5mm M12 Lens for up to 2MP 1/2.5" sensors such as AR0234

The CIL355 is a 5.5mm automotive M12 lens for 1/2.7" sensors up to 1.3MP. It gives you an 89° field of view at the 7.2mm image circle, which is wide enough for forward-facing ADAS, surround-view, and parking assist cameras without going all the way to fisheye territory. At F/1.8, the lens also keeps exposure under control in tunnels, at dusk, and in poorly lit parking structures.

Distortion is -9% TV barrel. That is too high for raw geometry work, but ADAS camera pipelines usually correct distortion in software anyway, so the number is not a problem in the use cases this lens targets. The 5G all-glass design in an AL6061 barrel also holds focus through the -40°C to +85°C thermal range that automotive hardware sees.

The IP6K9K rating means the lens is dust-tight and resistant to high-pressure, high-temperature water jets. That rating matters if the camera sits outside the cabin or anywhere near washdown exposure. The BBAR coating on the first surface reduces flare from headlights, and you can Calculate your field of view to check coverage on your sensor.
