8mm Low Distortion M12 Lens for 8MP 1/1.7" Sensors Such as IMX334 and AR0822

CIL078 is an 8mm M12 lens for machine vision on 1/1.7" sensors. It resolves 8MP and above on the IMX334, AR0822, and IMX226, while holding distortion to just -1.1% barrel across the 8.8mm image circle.

That distortion level is low enough for barcode reading, dimensional measurement, and PCB inspection, so you can often skip software correction and keep the processing budget for something else.

The optical design uses nine all-glass elements in an aluminum barrel. The fixed F/2.0 aperture gives you useful light indoors, and the lens works well at 300mm to 1000mm working distances that show up often in factory automation.

Two mechanical variants cover different environments. M12A is the standard version, while M12B adds IP67 sealing for washdown lines and outdoor installs. Both accept an optional 650nm IR cut filter, and total weight is 10.44g.
