6mm M12 Lens for up to 1/2.5" Sensors such as AR0341 and ISX031

The CIL359 is a 5.8mm automotive M12 lens for 1/2.5" sensors up to 3MP at 3μm pixel pitch. It gives you a 78° field of view across the 7.2mm image circle, which lands between ultra-wide 4mm optics and tighter telephoto options. That middle ground works when a forward-facing camera needs more reach than a surround-view lens but still has to cover more than a narrow telephoto can see.

Distortion is -7% F-Theta, so the image is easier to correct than a 4mm class lens but still wide enough for automotive OMS, robotics navigation, and industrial inspection. At F/1.6, the lens keeps light levels up at dusk and dawn without forcing excessive gain. Pairing it with the AR0341 or ISX031 gives you a sensor and lens stack that is already common in automotive imaging.

The lens uses seven all-glass elements in an AL6061 aluminum barrel and carries an IP6K9K seal. That combination matters if the system sees dust, pressure wash, and temperature swings instead of a protected indoor lab. The BBAR coating on the first surface cuts reflections and helps preserve contrast in direct sunlight, while the total weight stays at 5g.

You can order CIL359-F1.6-M12A650 with a 650nm IRC filter or CIL359-F1.6-M12ANIR without a filter for NIR applications. The lens fits FLIR Blackfly S, Allied Vision Alvium, iDS uEye XLS, The Imaging Source, and Basler Dart cameras, and e-con boards need a 10–13mm tall holder. The Commonlands CLA019 is the recommended mount.
